Filters in Valsight
Setting filters can be done at multiple places within Valsight — workspaces, sheets, perspectives, charts, and the line-items in the Scenario Manager. The filter management dialog employs the same behavior and functions in all places it is used at, and two available select modes help you work flexibly while setting or removing filters.
The first four are view filters: they change what you see without changing any values. A line-item filter is different in kind. It defines which slice of the model the line-item’s values apply to, so it changes the simulation itself.
